• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Donald J. Trump and Republicans, why are you spending so much time worrying about gutting entitlements, worrying about abortion, who is in who's bed, what orientation they are, etc??

you have very high unemployment and underemployment, why not worry about bringing good paying, full time jobs offering good benefits back to the USA and training people to fill those positions?

why not worry about an infrastructure bill?

after you have fixed our infrastructure, brought back good jobs and trained people to work those jobs then you can worry about the rest, but guess what?

bring back jobs and fix our infrastructure and entitlements cuts will be a moot point because bringing back good jobs will fix that problem on it's own. so you can kill two birds with a single stone and won't crash the economy in the process!!!

after you have fixed the jobs problem and by default entitlements then you can worry about the rest which i personally think the government has no business legislating but that's an argument for another time.

I don't think they want to completely gut entitlements, but cut back on cheats and the ones that are questionable. Abortion is one that should be looked at, no tax payer money should be used for abortion, example Planned Parenthood.

Should be one of the first things they do, but, it's going to make some of the liberals mad, cutting back regulations and EPA rules, to help businesses. This is very important in helping people open new small businesses and big businesses expand.

This would be great, but where the money comes from will be a big factor, Trump has some ideas, let's see if the pan out.

It will surely help, but entitlements will have to be looked at, to many illegals and cheaters on the rolls, we should look at food stamps, welfare, unemployment and make sure those receiving them deserve them. A blood test should be given to all who receive benefits so we are not supporting drug habits. Another thing to look at is the people on disability to make sure your really are disabled and not just milking the system.

A blood test should also be given to those who work in government including elected positions (congress, etc) as well as recipients of corporate welfare.

Especially since a recent elected official was just convicted of cocaine use.

i find it hypocritical that recipients of welfare be test, people in private sector be tested, but our elected officials and many government employees as well as recipients of corporate welfare are exempt from testing.

I say test everybody. Problem Solved!!!

Cutting back on welfare cheats and illegals? you won't get an argument from me. i would like to put that stereotype to bed it is not as prevalent as people assume it is. modern computer and database matching has eliminated many of the avenues of cheating the system that were once available to those who would scam the system.SSA as well as most state human services offices have access to eVerify, IRS, as well as numerous other state and federal databases including criminal databases.

there is a law that has been in force since the 70's, the Hyde amendment they mentioned it on Washington journal this morning it is already illegal to use federal funds for elective abortion this affects planned parenthood.

Planned Parenthood must document where the funds that are used for elective abortions comes from.

it is a myth that federal funds are used for elective abortions.

Paul Ryan now has a plan to replace the ACA. His plan wants you to take higher deductibles and have health saving accounts.

Ummmm, yhea. What a idiot.
