I found a few Freq. # That is not on Radio Reference web sight is there a way to find out what/whom the organization is broadcasting from? Is there such a thing as a (REVERSE LOOK UP) on a Freq. #? I'm a newbie at this, PLEASE don't be aggravated at me. I just bought a Whistler 1065 a week ago, my very first scanner EVER!

Fcc lookup here on RadioReference.com. FYI, you have to be a premium member to search. It's like $16 for six months

Scroll to the bottom of this linked page and select the state, Plug the frequency in, check the results. Search for additional states if needed.
Or go straight to the FCC site for more detailed search options.
Try the advanced search. (y)

Once you do the research you may find the frequency is actually in the Radioreference database, just not where or how you were looking for it. This is very common. Posting the frequency and location in this forum will often get you a quick response on this type of find.

For example there are certain frequencies known as itinerant or they fall under FRS or similar categories.

If once you identify the user and it is truly a new item for the database then you should submit it for listing.

You can verify if the frequency is already listed in the RR DB by using the options located at the top of the database page titled Search Identified Frequencies. Select - Entire Database - at the bottom of the list to get a quick result to look through. That will reveal if the frequency is listed under some obscure heading that's difficult to locate in the DB..

If you still can't find it by searching then post the frequency in the state/province forum where you are located or where hear it and somebody might be able to tell you what it is.

Some things like federal government stations don't have FCC licenses that you can look up.

Keep in mind a Freq alone does not make the 100% identification.
What PL/DPL/NAC adds more to the confirmation
