• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

I just purchased a Yaesu FT-8800r from Robert Pearsall. I am extremely satisfied with the condition of the radio. It was received exactly as he advertised. In fact he and I did not discuss including a separation kit which normally costs $69.00 but he included it anyway adding even more value to the purchase.

The only glitch I ran into was that his wife apparently mailed it by priority mail instead of express mail. The result was I received it exactly 1 week after he mailed it instead of next day. This was complicated by the fact that he was under the impression that it was sent by express mail. The result was that he and I were both confused as to why the express mail tracking number wasn't working.

Now that I have it, and have tracked the tracking number on the package, I see that it was mailed when he said it was mailed.

All of this said, I can report that I have found Robert to be honest, ethical, and a man of his word. If he says he did something, he did.
