• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

Is the "WH105" a scanner manufactured by Whistler? The only scanner models that I have seen manufactured by Whistler since they started manufacturing scanners in 2014 are the following: WS1010, WS1025, WS1040, WS1065, WS1080, WS1088, WS1095, WS1098, TRX-1 and TRX-2.

The Radio Shack branded scanner models manufactured by Whistler since 2014 are the following: PRO-649, PRO-650, PRO-651, PRO-652 and PRO-668.

Sorry, that is a WS 1095 !
I don't think it's possible to rollback the firmware in your Whistler WS1095 using the Whistler PC application software. When you do a check for updates it tells you what the latest versions are and the latest versions are the only choices to install. Perhaps Whistler tech support could supply you with older versions of the firmware for your WS1095 if you contact them.

Uniden, on the other hand, does give you the option of what firmware version you want to install when using their BC VUP scanner firmware update program. There is a dropdown list that appears (after you select the model scanner that you want to update) and it lets you pick the firmware version to install from the various options available.
