Although twisters could be produced in the winter months its very very unlikely here, generally speaking our twister season starts up at the end of April and runs strong through July..This year its taking its time but has been pretty active lately.

Fort Collins was hit by a nice cell and now has moved to Greeley which is producing 1.75 hail and some cloud rotation.

Here's what she looks like from Loveland looking east. Cloud tops are 30,000 it looks like.

I've heard of aprs before, but never got into it. Wasn't sure if it was indeed that one frequency orr something else. :lol:

Note in Weld County and Larimer Countythe 145.115 repeater is used by ARES District 10 for the Skywarn Net. We were active for 3.5 hours yesterday afternoon and again after 6pm.The station WX0DEN is the NWS service station out of Boulder.

The Skywarn net is self activated or by request of NWS. Normally, this net activates an informal net for T-Storms and goes formal when a Tornado warning is up for Larimer and/or Weld counties.

I was able to spot and report the Windsor funnel yesterday. I can tell you it is better to see them from a distance than to get hit by one (I live in the Windsor Cornerstone neighborhood and got hit last year.)
