I changed the serial numbers of four rtl-sdr dongles using the rtl_eeprom program so each one would have a unique S/N. The problem is that most programs like SDR# don't show you the serial number of the particular rtl device being used. At best you get something like "realtec Generic..." but no S/N. Is there any way to remedy this? I'd like to know which particular device is being used.

Just did mine too and noticed in SDR# they are now listed as (0) and (1) instead of the two different serial numbers I see in SDRTrunk. It just showed one dongle before I did the serial number change. I assume it is some sort of index number but I figured out which is which easy by pulling the antenna from one of them.

In SDR# the new serial numbers I entered don't show up. They do show up in SDRTrunk and SDR Console. The whole reason I changed them is to see which one was being used when multiple devices are plugged in.
