I have been using RTLAMR on a Windows 10 machine for a few weeks with some luck. Mostly I am receiving reports from several R900 devices - I am assuming that these are smart water meters based on the data:

I am guessing that these are gas meters.

My smart electric meter has the digits 2.4 in the part number - I am assuming that it operates in the 2.4ghz range.

Will RTLAMR work in the 2.4ghz range? I am sure that my RTL-SDR dongles will not receive transmissions in that range - I plan on using a HackRF One unit. What center frequency should be specified? and, could someone please explain how the center frequency thing works? Is there a need to know exactly what frequency the devices are using? How wide is the band?

Have you looked up the part number on your electric meter to see what the manufacturer says about the part number? There is always the remote chance that the 2.4 means something else.

you are correct those are water and gas. pm me a picture of your meter and I can tell you if it is a smart meter, cell meter or ERT. all you will be able to read with SDR is the ERTS

Meter type is C2SODS. Not listed on the meters.csv list. Also, model number is SK9ITR24 - looking this up on the FCC website indicates that the meter operates in the 2.4ghz range. Also says ERT Reader and Openway.
