I am trying to run Proscan on my windows 10 machine. when I try to run it, it said that I need net 4.8 which can't be installed on windows 10. I have version 7 of NET, but proscan will not run.

I had this running before I had to reinstall the O/S.

TIA for any help

Don

Not true. I have it installed & running fine on Windows 11. Run Windows updates, at the very least you need Windows 10 version 1903 for .NET 4.8 but it wouldn't hurt to go all the way to 22H2. Welcome to the RR forums

What happens when you download ProScan from the proscan.org web site and install it? Does ProScan startup normally?

BTW, ProScan targets the .NET Framework 4.8

The .NET Framwork 4.8 should already be installed on Win 10.

I would reboot your computer, if ProScan still doesn't start then perhaps it may not be a .NET Framework problem but rather a ProScan config problem such as the screen is minimized or out of bounds of the display so in these cases, go to the ProScan folder and rename (in case you want to revert back to the prior config) the ProScan.cfg file or delete the ProScan.cfg file then try starting ProScan again.
