Does anyone have a list of the 10 codes and signal codes that the Rutherford's County Sheriff's Office is using? I've noticed some of them are different than 'normal' 10 code lists I can find on the web. Any help is much appreciated!

Some Updates to RCSO

Signal 6,8,9 & 15 are the only ones I have ever heard the RCSO use. Was it RCSO, or MPD? Have you heard them used?

I only listen to RCSO, but here's some updates to the 10-code list.

Note that in the 10-code list that 10-82 is NOT "Stopping Suspicious Vehicle.
10-82 means "Officer Assist" or " Backup / Assistance to Another Officer"
10-80 is NOT "Mental Case. They say 10-101 or "101 Issues.

10-8 can also mean "Really hectic, noisy and confused with lots of commotion". Several times when they were relaying 911 call information to a deputy I 've heard the dispatchers say "It's really ten-eight there".

10-1 Receiving Poorly
10-2 Receiving Well

10-4 Affirmative, Yes

10-6 Busy
10-7 Out of Service (Also means broken, dead or otherwise non-functional)
10-8 In Service, on the job and available for calls.
10-9 Repeat
10-10 Break (For meals, etc)
10-12 Visitors Present (Can anyone near you overhear this conversation?)
10-13 Weather or Road Conditions

10-15 Prisoner In Custody, Arrest Made
10-16 Pick Up Prisoner

10-18 Complete ASAP (Normal Priority, no Lights and Sirens)
10-19 Return to Base / Sherriff Office
10-20 Location
10-21 Call Station by Phone
10-22 No Further Action
10-23 Stand By
10-25 Contact (Usually you'll hear "No 10-15")
10-26 Disorderly Person
10-27 Break In
10-28 Check Vehicle Registration
10-29 Check Wanted/Stolen

10-31 Cutting or Stabbing

10-33 Emergency Traffic (Go Fast with Lights and Sirens)

10-36 Correct Time
10-37 Dispatcher
10-38 Shooting
10-39 Armed, Concealed Carry Permit

10-42 Alarm
10-43 Investigate (Check out the area)
10-44 Stolen Vehicle
10-45 MVA No Injury
10-46 MVA With Injury
10-47 Ambulance
10-48 Tow Truck (Class A = Wheel Lift, Class D = Rollback)
10-49 Drunk Driving
10-50 Negative, No
10-51 Check by DL
10-52 Armed Robbery
10-53 Warrants

10-55 Kidnapping
10-56 Prowler
10-57 Overwieght Truck (I've only heard 10-57 2-3 times, but the context was not a truck)
10-58 Drunk
10-59 Fight

10-62 Corpse

10-67 Dead Animal In Road
10-68 Repeated Dispatch
10-69 False Alarm

10-71 Working School Traffic
10-72 Fire Call

10-76 Drag Racers

10-79 Search Warrant
10-80 Mental Case --NOT Correct. It's 10-101
10-81 Stopping Violator
10-82 Officer Assist
10-83 Breach/Disturbing of Peace
10-84 Drugs

10-86 Domestic Dispute
10-87 Disturbing the Peace
10-88 Shoplifting

10-91 Homicide
10-92 Disorderly Conduct

10-94 Suicide

10-96 Larceny
10-97 Arrived On Scene
10-98 Left the Scene
10-99 Repeat Unit Number
10-101 Mental Disorders

Other "Slang":
GOA = Gone Away (I looked around for them but couldn't find anyone)
NSR = No Stolen Report (Reply to a 10-28 & 29)
X-Patrol = Extra Patrol, something they are keeping an eye on, usually looking for suspicious actinity. Note that they never say where a given X-Patrol is, and when a new one needs to be assigned they have the deputy 10-21. The X-Patrol number is the Complaint Number assigned to it.

I have never heard 10-80 used, and the two times I've heard 10-57 used I couldn't tell what it meant. Once when dispatch called one of the deputies to take a call he said he was 10-57 but would be 10-8 in a few minutes, and then he'd be able to respond.

Correction to "GOA" -- it means Gone On Arrival not Gone Away.
