• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

After my 800MHz DX'ing experiment the other day, I compared my information with the RR database and the FCC database and came up with this:

Rutherford Electric Co-op running 4 Motorola Smartnet systems

Sys ID 4419 - Cleveland County
858.7125 CC
855.7625, 856.7125, 857.7125 possible voice frequencies

SysID 3f36 - Gaston County
857.3875 CC
853.0875, 855.5375 possibile voice frequencies

SysID 581f - McDowell County
855.4375 CC
854.8625, 855.4125, 855.9375 possible voice frequencies

SysID 4d10 - Rutherford County
855.6125 CC
855.0875, 855.3125, 856.4125 possible voice frequencies

If anyone can confirm any of this (or make corrections to it), please post a reply.

Otherwise, I'll probably add this information to the database later this week.

Thanks

Brian
