Why on earth would Peoria PD ever need another site other than the one on the White Tanks. That is super high up and will service any part of Peoria with ease. Transmission from White Tanks can be picked up almost anywhere in the valley for the most part. Just curious if anyone knows.
Towers Mtn, Mt Suppoa, North Mtn, Sacaton Mtn, and several of other "high" sites not yet in the RRDB, are designed to extend the RWC footprint outside the normal simulcast area. Its similar to the Yuma system with sites all over SW AZ.
White Tanks appears also to be a "high site" based upon the RWC documents that have been posted here; it was set up as a interops demonstration project during the Super Bowl some years ago (before there was a Simulcast G), and is still used for events on the west side. The local agencies likely are affiliating with it just like Peoria occasionally does with Towers. Peoria is likely assigned to Simulcast G as its primary. If someone could run two instances of Unitrunker (Tanks and Simu G) and compare, you might see the relationships.
With the multiple sites/simulcast/systems in the Valley now, you can expect almost any agency on any system!
.... I have seen the Simulcast G site...it is a small tower about 40 feet tall in the middle of a populated area.....
