Hello,

I'm having more trouble than I should to program my PSR-500 for Sacramento's Public Safety trunking system.

I think it all comes down to which of the following TSYS "Types" I should use:
(1) Mot 800/900
(2) Mot VHF/UHF
(3) P25 Manual
(4) P25 Automatic
(5) EDACS Standard
(6) EDACS Narrow
(7) LTR

Thanks in advance to the person who can solve this for me.

Mot 800/900

Don't know if it has been rebanded, if it has you will also need to enter custom tables possibly.

Also, you will notice there are two sites. You can take advantage of the PSR-500s multi site by entering all the control channels for both systems and then set the multi site settings to roam or stationary (whichever works best for you)

Sacramento has not (yet) rebanded. Use the 800/900 option as shown above.

I also suggest programming both the city & county sites into the scanner (two TSYS objects). Whether or not to set them up as two separate systems or a single multi-site system depends on where you will be using the scanner (what part of town or if mobile) and what you want to hear specifically. The major TGs (dispatch frequencies) are on both sites but some tactical/etc TGs are only on a single site as needed.
