• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

TRX-1: Sale

Thank you for the tip. I have been waiting for the TRX-1 to drop below $500.00, but this is pretty close. I might spring for it by the end of the weekend.

Hamstation has it for $489
When you add the $18 ground shipping charge to the $489.95 Ham Station price, that brings your total delivered price for the TRX-1 to $507.95. That is $2.04 less than the $509.99 total delivered price from Zip Scanners.

It appears that the "3-day sale" prices on the Whistler TRX series of scanners (sale was started on September 9th by Zip Scanners) has turned in to their new "regular" pricing. Here are the current prices for the TRX-1 and TRX-2 as of today, September 17th, which is 8 days after the start of the sale.

TRX-1
Zip Scanners $507.95 with FREE shipping included
The Ham Station $489.95 plus $18 ground shipping

TRX-2
Zip Scanners $557.95 with FREE shipping included
The Ham Station $539.95 plus $18 ground shipping

And you will not get a returned scanner from the ham station unless you buy a demo and those are listed in the used section.
