• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Hello,

I am trying to figure out what happened with this broadcastify feed as talkgroup 304 (6-WVC-1) on San Bernardino County System 06/07 was in transition for a week or two and now it shows that the station has been deleted altogether.

Is this something that is temporary or is this a permanent deletion?

I cannot find any information on this feed to figure out the cause or reasoning to its current status.

Please, any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you in advance

I was referring to broadcastify feed but I am new to the hobby and maybe a bad time to get into it with everything going on but what scanner would I need to be able to listen? Do I need just a scanner?
