I have a Home Patrol-2 and noticed that the regular channels I could here Mtn View, Palo Alto where no longer active.
I checked the data base and noticed they had a new system.
I download that system but I am not picking up anything.

Any suggestions?

Yes downloadef it from the HP-2 program right to the unit.

It shows it's on the unit but I'm not getting anything from the agencys that switched over to it

Can you export a hpe file of the favorites list and attach it so that we can check it for programming problems?

I'm not sure home patrol has a program that you download to your computer and then you just highlight and drag the agencies to the unit and then save them and it reads the frequencies.

The CHP system works on it and so does the Santa Clara county sheriff and medical but it's the cities that went to the new trunk system that I'm unable to pick up.

I notice that many of the police / sheriff's agencies are encrypted, so no consumer radio will be able to receive them. But plenty of stuff is in the clear.

Sorry, don't have a HP2 or 436. But one thing to keep in mind is that SVRCS is a multi-site system. The interop talk groups get carried (almost) everywhere. However, Mountain View radio traffic is (almost) exclusively carried only on the West Cell. This isn't obvious from the way the RR database is set up. It may be helpful to lock out the other sites, especially the ASR sites (4-7) and perhaps even the Central (2) and South (3) sites if you're in northern Santa Clara County.
