Ok so I have a BCD 536 I've been programming. Today I got a BCD 996XT but, I don't have the cable yet. Is there a way to start working on my program for the 996 until the cable comes in so it's ready to go? Every time I click "new" it asks me if I want to overwrite the file I'm already in. I'm used to clicking "save as" and then being able to give it a name but I'm not seeing a way to do that. Is there any way to start working on the plug prior to reading the scanner?

Start Proscan, change scanner type to BCD996XT, click new, put the name you want (different from the 536 name), click save.

Should be all you have to do, I just checked to make sure that is correct procedure.

Thank you, I'll give that a shot. OK, man this is totally different. thank you, it gives me a starting point. Is it still possible to download from RR
here? I'm not seeing anything jumping out at me to download from RR like I did on the 536. Sorry for all the questions. I'm sure it's right in front of me but I'm just not seeing it.

Save the 536 file as a .hpe file, then under database tab, click the Import, then Sentinel .hpd and .hpe files and see if it works. Since it is in the import option it should work, I just don't know how well, I don't have a 536 to try.

ok thank you. Since I don't have the cable yet I have some time to mess with this prior to it coming in. I may just try and do it with the RR import, I want to make some changes for my son anyway. Thank you very very much for your help so quickly.
