SDS100/SDS200: Scan mode nothing to scan

I have a favorite lists setup I have systems departments and channels set up in that list, and when I go to monitor it it says scan mode nothing to scan. The channels are from the NJICS system. No channels in my county are coming up. I do not have any quick keys, and monitor and download are both set to on.

not sure how do I set them up, I just pulled them from the database into a favorites list.

Are you using a SDS100? What is your city and county? Do you have the appropriate service types enabled in the profile? If you attach your favorites list file, I will take a look at it and check for problems. Go to the File tab in Sentinel and click on Export to hpe file (Favorites List). You will need to right click on the exported file and Send to Compressed (zipped) folder to be able to attach it. Click on Attach files and open the zipped folder.

You pull the entire system from the database, then delete/avoid talkgroups/departments you aren’t interested in AND delete/avoid sites that aren’t close enough for you to receive … but you have to leave at least one site.

The reason I mentioned sites is because you didn’t.

You have 2 departments (Essex County and Channels) with both containing the same talkgroups. One can be deleted.

They can be a *****. Took me quite a while to figure out my SDS200, and I still only know about 25% of it. Keep at it, it'll start to fall in place. I now routinely add and delete things to listen to.

Thank you, I am in verona but work in cedar grove they are right next to each other tho so either should be great.
