I have searched and could not locate a document explaining what an ac/dc ssvm is. Seems as though radio shack scanner service manuals are the only documents that refer to such a device. Does anyone know what type of meter this is? I would like to purchase one and need to know what it is.

Thanks,
Jason Smith

I think they are referring to a "solid state volt meter" so any modern high impedance voltmeter should be fine.

Seems to be, AC SSVM - VHF/UHF sweep generator with variable marker. DC SSVM - FM signal generator.
