• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

Hello,

Very new here. Can anyone tell me which type of scanner will work in order to be able to listen to the Moose Jaw Police Service? Any recommendations for a good scanner? Thanks so much!

Moose Jaw Police

Hi, been a while since I was on the forums. but in answer to your question - Moose Jaw Police are Fully encrypted 99% of the time. in the extremely rare time one of the officers knocks the encryption off thier radio, you need a digital scanner pro 106, bc 396 / 996 or one of the later gre ones.

RCMP are in the process of encrypting. Regina/MJ Lumsdon are still open, weyburn, swift current and saskatoon areas are fully encrypted.
