We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

Hi All,

Scanner School is a weekly podcast dedicated to the Scanner Radio Hobby. Each week Scanner School takes a scanner related subject and spends about 15 - 20 minutes discussing the ins and outs of that topic - followed by some Q & A.

The podcast launched on January 2, 2018 and went through the fundamentals of scanning. Topics included Frequencies, Tone Squelch, Bandwidth, and Modulation. This month, we are now going to break down Trunking and all of the different trunking protocols.

Scanner School releases a new session every Tuesday morning, and you can listen via iTunes, Stitcher, or Google Play. If you do not have a portable MP3 player and prefer to listen via your computer, sessions are also available on our website at www.scannerschool.com
