scanner ?

I live in north orange county (La Habra). Iam just geting back in to scanning (been out for about 10 years) I was looking to buy a pro-97. I know we can no longer Monitor orange county, but here in La Habra we have La county fire for fire service La county Sheriff (in La Habra hgts). will the pro 97 be a good buy fo me thank for the info

Why can't Orange County be monitored? It seems to me that the only encrypted transmissions are the law enforcement. You can get al ot of good police activity by monitoring the CHP.

You can still get Orane County Fire Authority. I use my 97 or 96 and the 2096 in my truck when in the area.
