Scannercast & Pro197 not always communicating

I recently purchased a Pro197 that I'm trying to stream using Scannercast.

Scannercast randomly reports "Not communicating with scanner". It starts up OK and may work fine for several hours or at times only a minute or two. I then see the Scannercast scanner connection status rapidly flashing back and forth between "OK" and "Not communicating with scanner".

I also have a Pro106 that does NOT exhibit this problem using Scannercast. It works great.

I have tried two different USB-serial cables, three different computers(xp & win7). All act the same way when I use the Pro197. I tried using the 197 with Win500 to stream. That combination works fine.

Is my Pro197 defective? Or is there a setting I've overlooked causing this problem?

I am getting the same error, if anyone has an idea on how to fix this, let us know!

I think it might be, because its trying to read the tags, and can't. But not sure.

My feed is up and running, so it doesn't have anything to do with the audio

Well I emailed the owner of scannercast, and still haven't gotten a reply.......what gives?

Anyone find a solution for this yet?
