Scanning in Huntsville TX

I was scanning today and on 133.600 heard a mixture of Avation and of TDC traffic (sounded like guard tower.

You shouldn't have heard anything from TDCJ in the AM band. You could have been too close to a transmitter and had major interference. The guard towers just talk about inmate movements, personal vehicle movements into restricted areas, and relay counts during count time.
