Need some help: I own hunting property in Buchanan County Missouri. I have locals running their hunting dogs across my farm property. They use hand radios to communicate (from their trucks as they drive) with each other as they run their dogs. Can my Whistler WS1040 pick up their communication? If so, what frequency? The local authorities say I cannot do much about this problem. However, I want to collect as much evidence as I can to prosecute. I do have pics of their hunting dogs on my game cameras. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

DHAS12 gave you a good place to start. These people are sometime using cheap Chinese radios and just pick any frequency they want which is not only illegal but can interfere with public safety or other radio systems, including ham bands. To look for them, use the search bands on your scanner.
