I go to a state school, the administration such as principals and security carry radios. I am sure they are using VHF band because of their antennas, and i have heard from a teacher that it was VHF. well anyway i know their using 5WATT output on their radios (Motorola cp200 p200 p1225)... The leagal limit for unliscenced frequencys (MURS) is 2 WATTS. they have no record online for a FCC liscence on any band so is this leagal? and how can i find the frequency withoud getting access to a radio... i tried scanning all vhf but nothing was herd. ?

The CT Dept of Education has a license for the following:

453.1125
453.1375
453.3750
453.8875
453.9375
463.7125
464.6375
463.7125

Since you have your location listed as Milford, I'll assume you go to Platt. The license indicates that Platt uses 453.1125
