I have a BCD436HP mounted in a stand on my desktop. Are there any magnifiers that I can use to see the screen better?

My old eyes are not what they used to be. I have an LED light shining on the screen but I'd like to see the screen larger.
Thanks, Bob.

Do a search on Amazon for “SmartPhone Screen Magnifier” or search Google for a “Screen Magnifier” and see if anything might work for you. Cheers! Dave

Link to the product on Amazon:

At $18, it might be worth a shot.

Thanks Dave. I have looked at them but don't see any way to use them in my case. Bob.

Thanks. I would buy ProScan in a flash but it will NOT work with Windows medium size fonts, which I have set. I already have a thread about it. Bob.

You're using an old Win version which would increase the text size but the program size would stay the same causing the text to overlap or be clipped. Use Win 10 and the display option "Make everything bigger".

It might help if you showed us a photo of your setup so that people would know what they're dealing with before making recommendations.

Here is a jpg of my BCD436HP mounted in the holder behind mu mouse pad. The radio is tilted back around 30 degrees. I have a clip mounted light above (not shown for clarity) to illuminate the screen. my computer hutch has no room for any magnifier base in front of the radio.. I could probably use some kind of small clip on magnifier if the aupport was small. Thanks, Bob.bcd463hp.jpg

I have a great magnifier that is like a swing-arm desk lamp - you can grab it and pull it right down to your face if need be. Has a light on it. Attaches to a shelf with a normal C-clamp. I use it to look at the fine print on the wall map or the tiny print on labels and prescription bottles. Very powerful, sometimes much more than you need but it is a very useful tool in my shack. I think I paid $29.99 for it on eBay a few years ago when I was setting up my shack. It's great for confined spaces, like my little ham shack nook ;) Just do a search for desk mount magnifier and you will see some. Hope that helps somewhat. Good luck in your search. I have something like this with a weighted desk stand and flexible goosneck. I need it with my one bad eye.
