Hi all, I've got a USB RTL stick here using the current version of SDR Sharp.

I set the sample rate to 2.4MSPS, should that mean that there is 2.4Mhz of bandwidth available? From end to end I calculate it only showing just under 2.0Mhz in the waterfall.

Basically I have two frequencies I want to listen to at the same time, which are about 2.2Mhz apart. Using SDR-Console V3 I can have them both up at the same time. However in SDR Sharp one always falls off the edge, unless I set it to 2.56MSPS but then the audio goes crackly.

Any ideas?

I use 1.024MSPS and see 0.8MHz of the frequency range and using 3.2MSPS I see 2.8Mhz so it doesn't translates exactly to a frequency span.

Been using SDR# for years and never got a band spread of more than around 2 MHz. Ubbe is right on the money.

This works for an Airspy device. I'm not able to test with an RTL device at the moment, but it might be worth a try.

Open the file SDRSharp.exe.Config in a text editor. It is located in the directory where SDR# is installed.

Look for the following line:
<add key="airspy.aliasFreeRatio" value="0.8" />

Change the value from 0.8 to 1.0.

That line in the config is specific to Airspy Dongles. It will not do anything with any other brand of dongle. If you have an airspy mini, there is something in the config that can be changed to select a 10 mhz unofficial experimental, in addition to the already offered 3mhz and 6 mhz.. I did read that it is slightly unstable...

You might want to check out the HackRFOne, you'll get a wider swath of the spectrum but it costs around 290 bucks. I had one at one time and it picks up frequencies to 6 Gigs.

HackRF One also has a "sweep" mode that very rapidly sweeps the entire tunable spectrum. It is not quite as instantaneous as the direct sampling mode, but quite impressive nonetheless. 6 GHz of spectrum updates in less than 1 second.
