So i have everything setup correctly with SDRTRUNK but am receiving no audible signals. I'm told it because my control channel is not valid.

So how do i choose and setup a valid control channel? This is for RTL SDR V3

Thanks all.

Are you putting all the control channels in from the database?

I just chose a random local control channel, created a channel and played it. It shows that I have an active control channel. No sound though.

What system are you trying to listen to? Post the link from the database.

For the site nearest you, add all frequencies with a “c” next to them. For example, if you see “853.0375c”, you would 853.0375 as a control channel.
So create a new channel for each of these frequencies? Tonight is the last I am going to work on this. May try a different version but I’m done.

Only use one channel and enter all the control frequencies.

In the main window, click View > Playlist Editor. Click the Channels tab. Under sources, add all the frequencies. Click the Add button to enter more frequencies, as needed. An example from my area (not yours) is below.

I’d be thrilled to hear one beep.

Are you sure this system is active? The notes show that this is a future system to be utilized by LAPD. No talkgroups are listed. (I am not in the area, so can't have to defer to those who have experience in the area. But this looks suspicious.)

Nothing popping up in main window. Alias is packed with talk groups. Lots of messages scrolling in the message column. No sound. :sneaky: Oh well.

One last post before I pack it it. Control frequency is hopping all over the place as it should. Lots of messages. Getting some clicks here and there.

The control frequency I chose is for the LA Department of Water. Does this mean, even with the talk groups and aliases that I will only get department activity?
