SDRTrunk sdrtrunk freezez after few hours

Hi there
After running SDRTRUNK for few hours i get these errors

11:36:02.239 DEBUG i.g.d.r.AudioRecordingManager - Audio Segment detected with NO TO identifiers [433MB/650MB 66%]

and the software stop working

the spectrum and the waterfall freezes and that's it i can stop and start the tuner with the play stop button but it doesn't do anything

What are the hardware specs of the computer - processor, RAM?
What SDR?
What version of SDRTrunk?
What system are you monitoring?

windows 10 64 bit ( same happen on windows11)
8GB ram
CPU i5-4460S (alsohappend on the windows 11 with i5-8xxx CPU )
SDR rtl-sdr V3 (also happen with RTL-SDR v1)
Version latest Beta5
System Motorola P25 v2

I dont think it is a computer or SDR related it looks to me as pure software as i mentioned it jappened in two difrents of computers and radio (every PC connected to diffrent radio)

Note that an i5-4460S is on the low-end for running this software. What else is running on the machine? Are you recording transmissions? If so, what happens if you disable recording? Can you post an image of Task Manager showing CPU loading?
What specific system are you trying to capture? What is its channel spread? Can you post your startup log?

Fall back to Alpha 6, much better for us deadbeats with slower machines.

I5-8250U is NOT so slow CPU
it runs only sdrtrunk no recording
it does not let me uplad photo of task manager but the cpu load ia about 15 percent
Specific system will not tell you anything it is not appearing in the database it is trunked p25 v2 system it takes 2 MHZ spread that single dongle can handle where is the start log ? what it name ?

i5-800 consider slow machine ?
sdrangel which is much havier system runs perfectly there and as i said before it start ok and as time pass the performance degrade it start to loose decoding of words untill it stop to decode anything

The 4460S is kinda slow, and the 8250U, a newer but low power 15W part is not a huge amount faster - check out the single thread ratings compared to the i5-6600T:


Considering that you are having issues with Beta 5 on both machines, it's likely a configuration issue assuming that you're not trying to run a bunch of other programs simultaneously. You have to adhere to the RR forum specs if you want to upload a screenshot that shows Task Manager / CPU loading. Alpha 6 is a solid release and probably a better fit for your hardware.

The log file opens when you start the program and should be in a visible window on your desktop. You can also find it in your User folder under SDRTrunk/logs - assuming you have used the defaults when setting up the program.

I have investigated more
and connected to the same computer hackrf instead of the rtl-sdr didnt touch anything in the software just run it again
and all seems to be stable
so i think the problem is in the driver of the rtlsdr in the software
it work for some time and then it start to loose decode and even doesn't decode the control channel

I doubt it's the driver for the RTL device in the SDRT software because most other people are not reporting problems. It's possible that you did not install the SDR driver properly under Windows via Zadig - a common mistake. But another thing to consider is if the RTL device itself is failing due to heat buildup, poor construction, or counterfeiting - it does happen (I've had a Nooelec SDR burn up.)

I do see one WARNing in the log:

but it's probably inconsequential. It has to do with the low end / low power CPUs you are using that don't have all the bells and whistles of full power / newer i5 processors.
