Anyone making a aftermarket battery that won’t burn your house down while charging or swell?
pace maker catching fire, swelling or exploding
Thanks. I stand corrected. I used a bad analogy. But the point was better quality batteries are made for more critical needs. It’s the difference between quality and cost.Pacers are not able to be recharged so the chances of the battery catching fire, swelling or exploding are miniscule.
The battery in my pacer has about 6 years left according to the Medtronic app.
I own a SDS 100 & detest the damn proprietary battery that is needed for this beast.
I have heard a plethora of reasons why this battery is needed to run this machine; however, the fact remains, there is no replacement by another manufacturer.
I am curious. How long will it take someone to offer a replacement for this battery?
At present, I am using a completely different battery than my Nikon FX camera. If Uniden is still holding the reins, I wish they would let go.

Why?
Batteries Plus typically can rebuild pretty much any rechargeable radio battery. That's because most rechargeable sealed battery packs have standard cells inside them.
NO idea if that's true for either SDS100 battery.
Then it has to be a US specific restriction as there are several companies in my country that rebuilds Lipo batteries, especially for electric bicycles.I was told by a local shop that rebuilds radio and small appliance batteries that is is illegal to rebuild batteries built with lithium cell.
