How do you (Trim) stuff out of the FULL DATABASE while traveling with GPS enabled ?

For starters, adjust the service types. You can also turn off all the nationwide stuff.

You can also go in Sentinel and go into all the statewide systems and set anything you are not interested in to avoid. Live on Eastern Long Island and have to go thru NYC to travel anywhere so I have 80 % of NYC avoided in the main db.
I use the nationwide database (only) and service types. I set the range at 10 miles. Works perfectly.
The scanner only scans systems within your range and only systems that have the service types you want. It ignores everything else, doesn't try to scan it, or even load it.
