SDS Mass Storage Mode

Is there a key sequence on the SDS to toggle Mass Storage Mode (cable plugged in of course)? Searching the forums and Google - nada.

Plug it into the computer, turn it on. When it boots up, and it gives you the options of Serial or Mass Storage, press "E" to enter Mass Storage mode.

Or, if you use Proscan, you can send an MSM command to the scanner and it will go into mass storage mode for however long you request.

So your looking to switch between Serial Mode and Mass Storage Mode while plugged into the computer...
Without using ProScan... No key strokes on the scanner to do that...

I uses a USB extension cable and un-plug it and plug it back in to prompt the option. It saves wear and tear on the On/Off switch on the scanner.

Ya I just move the cable from the PC back to a plug. Cheesy but it works.

If your worried about wear and tear on the ports... @iMONITOR's idea will work for that...
Easier to replace the cables than ports on the computer or scanner...

If you don't have ProScan you should check it out... It's only a $50 one time fee, lifetime updates...
Also, try before you buy... Thirty day free trial... Fully funtional...

And no I don't get kickbacks... I just love the functionality and versatility of it... I highly recommend it...
