SDS100/SDS200: SDS100 from Amazon Genuine?

I'm planning on purchasing the SDS100, and for reasons, I would like to buy it through amazon. It's currently only sold under one listing, sold and shipped by KFN Tech who offers a 30 day refund. Both the radio and the seller have positive reviews. Is there any concern that it could be counterfeit? Is there any known history with scanners sold through amazon? I highly doubt it, but I wanted to ask before I put up the cash.

Since you state the seller has good reviews and has a return policy, chances are you should be fine. FWIW, I don't recall anyone on this forum mentioning that they received a counterfeit Uniden scanner from Amazon before.

Of course, buying direct from Uniden or a well-known dealer like Bearcat Warehouse or Scanner Master guarantees you will get a new, genuine unit.

If you are an Amazon Prime subscriber, your purchase may qualify under the Two-Year Asurion return/refund program. I purchased a POC radio from Amazon, and it's covered by Asurion's warranty/policy. You can check with Amazon to see if it qualifies for Asurion, an excellent program covering just about any electronic product purchased from Amazon. I invoked the Asurion provision on a purchase from five months prior. It went through immediately, and by the end of the day, I had the purchase price in my Amazon account under a credit for future purchases. Asurion also covered an air fryer, and immediately refunded the purchase amount when I dropped it off at the Amazon return center.

I'm in the US. That link is the same link I posted above, for me it says it's from Gova Deals. It contains a link to the official Uniden store so I'm assuming Uniden uses various sellers to distribute to buyers.
I just opened your link and the seller is still Locke Storefront. Perhaps we've discovered a genuine Amazon scam? Or maybe Uniden uses various aliases as suggested.

I thought when you bought from the Uniden Store, it was direct from Uniden. You can shop right on their website. It doesn't make sense that they would sell under an alias.

$649.99 for the SDS100

Maybe under the circumstances, you'd be better off patronizing Uniden directly seeing as the price is the same. At least their name doesn't keep changing.

Anything you buy from or through Amazon is returnable unless it specifically says NO RETURNS.

There are no "counterfeit" SDS100s. They may be used, overstock, stolen, etc. but not fakes.
