OK, then short answer is I have NO clue, that being said, the link I provided from the same website your link is from clearly shows the SDS100 as out of stock.
I hope that"s all it is, and your correct. Love my SDS100 & BCD436HP purchased from Bearcat warehouse.
Paul (UPMan) has said before that their online pricing is higher because they do not want to directly compete with their dealer network, He's also said that, when stocks are running low, Uniden diverts stock to their dealers and distributors rather than reserve stock for their own website. Once availability is better (sufficient stock), then the items would go back to in-stock on Uniden's site.I've always wondered why anyone would buy a radio directly from Uniden because it's always the higher retail price than you can get it for from a retailer.
They also don't seem to have much stock. I don't think there's any advantage to getting it straight from Uniden. I can see buying like a battery door or something odd that's hard to replace but I don't know about a scanner.
I can't figure that one out.
That was a hair-brained idea drummed up by an individual - not from Uniden:Did anyone ever determine what the rumored Uniden SDS500 is supposed to be?
It's a version of the SDS200 that can decrypt all forms of encryption known to be used in public safety. Included in the box is a secret identity kit, two one-way tickets to a country with no extradition treaty with the United States, prepaid legal counsel, and a prepaid GSM cell phone. MSRP is expected to be around $2.2 Million.Did anyone ever determine what the rumored Uniden SDS500 is supposed to be?
Roger that. That was a hair-brained idea drummed up by an individual - not from Uniden:
