As stated in the subject line, the antenna jack on my sds100 is wobbly. I can still receive everything just fine, just concerned about something happening to the antenna jack on this scanner. Is it worth sending it in to Uniden for repair or can I just fix it at home and how? Please let me know.

Thank you.

It might be best to send it in if you can not get the antenna off. It may just spin. If you can get the antenna off, pretty sue with small needle nose pliers you should be able to tighten the nut.

The SDS 100 comes with a cheap ass SMA adapter. When I removed the antenna, the damn antenna housing would loosen.

Someone told me about this little tool. I forgot what this is called, but it might be an "e wrench." I searched many places & finally found it on Ebay. However, when I used that crap SMA adapter from Uniden, I had to frequently tighten the antenna housing.

I solved this problem by buying a proper SMA adapter. BNC to SMA Adapter – SDS100 – GOLD – Airspy.US

Since I bought this tool & SMA adapter, the antenna housing hasn't loosened.

If you buy one, don't overtighten. Before I bought this tool, I used a pair of needle nose pliers. It was hit and miss.

I second the tool mentioned. I have one and its very useful for tightening up the antenna jack itself. That being said, I have a BCD436HP, not SDS100, but I assume it doesn't make a difference?
