SDS200, NXDN, DMR

I’ve decided that it‘s time to upgrade from Home Patrol II to the SDS 200. For the Memphis area is it necessary or desirable to have NXDN and/or DMR? Also, I’ve noticed that Scanner Master shows that the SDS 200 is out of stock. Is there another reliable source, or is it likely that they restock soon?

I have SDS100 with DMR and NXDN. I live in Fayette County and need both to hear Fayette County Sheriff's Office and a few other things east of Memphis. I know MPD and SCSD are a new system but I don't know if it takes either upgrade.

It really depends on what you might want to hear. Looking at the list there are several DMR and NXDN systems and Arlington FD Backup is NXDN, but most FD/PD is P25.

Personally, I would never buy a piece of equipment like this from Amazon. Scanner Master is the way to go. They can help when you have questions and/or problems... Amazon can't. They will not be out of stock very long.

Fayette County SO is NXDN Hardeman County is DMR but is Fully Encrypted Tipton County is DMR Fully Encrypted.

Actually it's being sold *through* Amazon, not from them. Sold and shipped from "Police Scanner Outlet". Go look at their website and get the address, and you'll see that it's the Amazon persona of a well-known Uniden retailer.
