I program my 325P2 using ProScan. I have a DMR Tier 3 Capacity Max system used by the Mammoth Mountain Ski Area programmed in it. According to the Uniden website I have the latest firmware (1.11.07) in the radio. Up to about 2 weeks ago the scanner would scan each site of this 3 site system. This is the second system in my radio's program. Each site has been designated as "S2" in my program. The scanner would move from site to site when in the talkgroup search. Two weeks ago it started scanning only one site. I have not locked out any of the three sites. If I lock out any 2 of the 3 sites it will scan on the 3rd site and find talkgroups being used on that site. Suddenly 5 weeks ago when I unlock all 3 of the sites it will only scan the first site programmed below this system. Why won't it scan all 3? All of the sites are unlocked. Do I have to give each site its own quick key? Using one quick key for all 3 sites worked before, why did that stop? Any help would be appreciated greatly!

On the surface it does sound like a quick key thing. What I think was happening before is that when the scanner locked onto the control channel it would stay at that frequency for the site. But move on if that CC went off line or a CC turned into a voice channel and thus light up on another site.

With a P25 system I monitor I place three towers (sites) into a system. Each site has its own quick key. Tower 1: QK1, Tower 2: QK2 Tower 3: QK3

So try programming each site with its own quick key. You can keep the whole lot in a system though.

It also sounds like CHANNELS were added or changed.
1. Did you try to verify that the sites are still active?
2. Lock out all but 1 site at a time and see if you see signal bars.
3. Do a manual search and see if you can see signal bars on each frequency.

Check your squelch setting. It should normally be on 2. If you turned up the squelch, you may be scanning only the site closest to you with the highest signal strength.

I did not add or change anything. The radio was scanning all three sites. One morning I went to check what had been logged overnight and noticed that at some point in the early morning I was only getting hits on the first site in my program.

1. I'm in range of 2 of the 3 sites on the mountain. The 3rd site is blocked by topography and I can't verify it is active. I want it in the radio when I drive up to the main lodge and am in range of all 3 sites at the same time. When I manually scroll to the 2nd site and then hit scan the 2nd site picks up multiple talkgroups, so it is active.
2. When I manually scroll the radio and pick the 1st and 2nd sites I get signal bars on all the talkgroups.
3. When a manually scroll to the frequencies of each site (1 and 2) O don't get signal bars on all the frequencies, only those that are the frequency the talkgroups are active on.

I have all three sites on S2 because even though the software says "quick key" it fills in the system key column. I updated the software a couple of weeks ago, so now I suspect a software problem. I will correspond with the software developer.

Here is a PDF file which will answer all of your questions about using quick keys. Print it out and save it for your reference.

Did the frequency lineup change at any of the sites?

There are 3 sites, one of which I cannot receive from my home, so I don't know if any frequencies have changed there. At the second site in my program I don't think any changes have occurred. If I lock out the first site in my program (Mammoth Mtn. Summit) the scanner will begin to scan the second site (Lincoln Lift) and does so successfully. So the problem is not that the other sites may have changed frequencies, it is something in the radio that changed around the time I downloaded ProScan 23.5.
