Sentinel HomePatrol won't let me set alerts

From what I read in sentinel's user manual, I should be able to set and adjust alerts for channels. (not the weather alerts).
Easier manual says: Channel Alerts allow you to program your scanner to alert you when a channel is received. For each alert in the scanner, you can select from 9 different tone patterns and 15 volume settings.

Sentinel shows me these alerts in the dbase or table, but I can't change them, they don't respond when I click them. Arc536pro lets me change them. Am I doing something wrong that I can't go into my favorites list and set a channel alert on an individual channel with sentinel? Thanks in advance. Jay

You can only change settings in Favorites Lists. You cannot affect settings in the main database. Create a FL, move the system/department/channel(s) to the FL, then click the star-pencil icon and edit that FL to affect changes like that.
