Icom: Setting up a 8 pin Icom plug

I was doing some thinking, I want to be able to switch out my headset and desk mic.
I normally use a SM-50 into my Icom 7300 but when I hunt POTA I prefer to use a headset.
What I was thinking is homebrew a DP DT toggle to take the place of the UP DN buttons on the desk mic and wire it into my 8 pin plug that I wired up for ptt and mic.
I looked in my manual but not real sure what pins to wire were for my buttons 🤔
Anyone wanna help?

Had a gentleman on FB get me straight.
I have huge tendency to second guess myself and double check things, as me and electronics have a love hate relationship! Lol
