Hello all, I am trying to use a MFJ 998 tuner with my Kenwood TS590sg. I hooked up the coax, data cable, and the power cord to the tuner OK. I set the menu on the tuner to Kenwood at-300 compliant. I first turn on the tuner then the radio. When I press the tune button on the radio for 2 seconds I hear the relays clicking in the radio. A sighted friend of mine said that the display on the tuner has the same frequency on it as the radio does so I assume there is some sort of communications between the two. However I don’t hear relays clicking inside the tuner, should I? Also on the tuner above the power button is a button which I believe is labeled tune. Pressing it toggles between one beep and two. What is this button for and how should I have it set. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
