I wonder if someone can offer a little help or advise today, I have a friend that has dial up internet through AT&T, They can only get one computer at a time online, However, I have an external dial up modem from where I previously did this same thing I'm inquiring about. I wonder if I can use my external Actiontec Dual PC Modem and Their 2Wire Wireless Router and set them up so they can connect wirelessly to the dial up modem through their wireless router, This will be using Windows Vista. Can anyone offer the steps, I can't find them on the web! Thanks For The Help Ya'll!

Configure the modem with the local access number, user/pass authenitcation stuff, then connect the wireless router's WAN port to the ethernet port on the modem. You shouldnt need to mess with the internet connection sharing on ether of the computers.

The modem will/should automatically dial once it receives data that needs to go out thru modem.

To add: You dont need to configure anything on your computers in respect to the dial up networking. The modem controls all of that. Just connect to your wireless router as normal. The router doesnt care if the WAN port is connected to a dial up modem or a cable modem. It just passes the data to it and the dialup modem takes care of the rest.

Reading a review on the modem, it seems that there is a set up utility you may need.

Interesting modem, but some comments about not all ISPs supporting it.
