Hey all, my goal is to run two scanners to run two different broadcastify feeds using just one computer. I'm using a laptop with an external USB sound card for my one existing feed. Do I need a second sound card for another feed? The Broadcastify info says to run two scanners you just plug the line out from the second scanner into the open input on the existing line from the first scanner to the computer. I don't imagine this would work, unless I can have one mono feed (Left channel) for one feed and a mono feed (right channel) for the second feed? I don't know if there are any more USB inputs for sound cards on my laptop. Any help would be great. Thanks!

If you use a SDS 200 you don't need a sound card.
I have 4 feeds on 1 computer and use 4 different sound cards. It also helps to adjust audio levels by labeling which USB sound card is to which scanner. So if you can get another USB sound card.

I run 2 Feeds 1 PC, 1 Sound Card. I run it as a ((STEREO)) Feed. Left Channel and Right Channel. No issues and full instructions are on Broadcastify.
A single sdr stick in a raspberry pi4 and running rtl_airband. In multichannel mode can pick several frequencies within the bandwidth of the stick and stream them to bcfy individually using the streamer integrated into rtl_airband. Cuts way down on the equipment footprint.Or you can use sdr and run multiple feeds with zero sound cards

A direct answer to the OP's question, YES you can run 2 scanners/feeds on one laptop. I use the mic input on the laptop and a USB sound card for the second. I also run 2 USB serial cables so that both feeds have alpha tags. Windows 10 and 2 uniden scanners, one digital, one analog.
