Setting Up: YAND (yet another Navtex Decoder) & YaDD (yet another DSC Decoder ?

Hello,

I keep thinking there should be a specific Forum for dumb Sr. Citizen questions like I have so often.

But, I really enjoy the sw listening hobby.
Just not that sharp anymore with a lot of the nuances.

If this is not the "correct" Forum for this, please just let me know and I'll re-post it.

So, may i please ask:

I just downloaded and installed:

YAND "Yet Another Navtex Decoder"

and, YaDD "Yet Another DSC Decoder"

On starting either I get this msg.: Cannot Open Audio Device

Fine, understandable. I think.

Am I correct that I have to use a VAC (virtual audio cable) like COM0Com to set up a path between my
basic SDR program (SDRConsole) and YAND and YADD ? Or,...?

If so, where in these two new programs do I set this up, after creating the connection using COM0Com ?

Or, a VAC not needed, and it uses the pc sound card or something else ?

Couldn't find any good User manuals for either. Are there ?

Any hints on using wither would be most appreciated.

Bob you really should learn to use the SDRPlay apps catalog. Take a look at this PDF from that site; it goes through using YaND
