Sewanee Police Radios To Change Call Numbers

The Sewanee Police Department and Franklin County Sheriff ’s Department have reached an agreement to adjust radio call numbers. For scanner listeners, Sewanee police call numbers will be in the 470 and 480 ranges. The change is expected to go into effect this week.

Do you ever hear the old 72.86 mhz THP repeater that was (or is) at the St. Andrews fire tower?

The last I heard on 72.86 was back about 2 years ago. Still have it programmed into a scanner. Have left it on the frequency all day a few times since but nothing heard.

I haven't heard anything in years either. I do hear traffic on 72.78, which I think is around Jasper and when I'm in the Chattanooga area, I hear it from the Polk Co. relay/repeater. I will be glad when THP goes on the TVTRS system.
