Sharing antenna between two radios Was:Whistler ws 1065 and Azden PCS 4000

Can I operate my WS 1650 And my AZDEN PCS4000 at the same time on a J pole 1/2" copper antenna? What do I need to look out for. I am new to radio and scanner. Studying for my tech license. I am getting my "Communication Center" set up while studying.

For receive only you could using a multicoupler. If you plan on transmitting with the 2 meter rig, get a separate antenna for the scanner and place it as far away as possible from the transmitting antenna used for the 2 meter rig.
