Today a scum bag went to a home under fire reconstruction and for some unknown reason began shooting the workers there, then fled to Lowell, IN where I live and randomly shot a farmer.
Those workers were friends of mine, they work for my Uncle at Rich construction. I empty their dumpster almost every day at this house, and others. I was just there yesterday morning, I wish I was there today, I carry a SigSauer, I could have saved these guys. I hope when they find this ***hole he decides to fight, I know the fine men and woman of our local, county, and state are great shots. Although a part of me wants to know why?
Pray for Matt to pull through, He's a great kid, I always had a blast joking with him and the rest of the crew.

"Honey bee" killer in Will County

Gunman On Loose Kills 1 In Will County, Wounds 3 In Indiana - cbs2chicago.com

Holy crap.

Police say the suspect is described as a white heavyset man in his 40s, about 5-feet 10-inches tall, and is disheveled looking. Police think he is wearing a light green windbreaker, jeans and possibly a baseball cap. He is driving a 1990s light-colored Chevrolet or Ford pickup truck with a noisy muffler.

They got it wrong again.
1 dead, 1 serious, 1 ran into the field and is fine, then came to Lowell, and shot a farmer.

I'm sorry to hear that this is a personal matter for you. I hope your friend Matt makes it, I really do. It seems like this coward is a loon, so he's bound to make a mistake, and get what he deserves in the end.

This is so tragic. I have houses in Crete and Grant Park,Il and drive in this area of Will County all the time. The updated chatter is saying a light colored Chevy with a John Deere plate on the front. Indiana registration on the back. I hope they get this person soon.

Somebody called in a suspicious vehicle and person that matched the sketch around 3:30 tuesday. It was on the Will county EDACS. I didn't catch the location.

sorry the feed was down most of the day, I lost power and didn't find out until I got home from work.

Listening to the scanner all day in my truck and it was not a good day if you drive a pickup matching the description of the suspects vehicle, it's been non stop, and it's still going, these cops are getting run ragged chasing all these calls, now the calls about men fitting the description is popping up, people are starting to freak out and see this scum bag everywhere.

I hope the police are thinking on the same lines as me, go to the B.M.V, input the description of the vehicle in question, just how many 1970's to 1980's light blue, silver or white Cheyennes are registered in this area, cross reference that with the description of the suspect, that should narrow it down considerably.

On another note, I haven't been able to get hold of my uncle, so I have no idea how his employee is doing:(

I believe it was around Kentucky and State Line, turned out it was a farmer tending his horses if this was the same I heard. I've been hearing them non stop all day! my brain is fried.

So, thats your feed? I heard that traffic in Beecher today too. A Lake County unit spotted a truck next to a barn on State Line and saw a man walk into the barn. They had Will County respond and called in a chopper. Turned out to be some farm hands at work.

You had 400 listeners when your feed went down this morning, sometime after 8.

yes it's my feed. And I still don't know why we lost power, hopefully it doesn't happen again, at least until this is over.
I apologize to all the folks listening when it went down, if I could afford a standby generator I would get one.

There has been an update to the story:
Bistate task force looking for 'honeybee' killer

I had reported that Matt was the one who was shot in the head and survived, when in fact it was josh.sorry.
I also reported the age of the truck as a 1970-80's, when they are now saying its a 95-98.
I criticized the news media for doing exactly what i just did. again sorry.

Authorities were too slow in getting the vehicle description narrowed down and out in the open. The media was saying the vehicle was a Ford or Chevy, 1970's to 1990's, white gray, or blue in color. You know darn well the farmer got a good look at that vehicle and could have given a description. The authorities could have found an image online that matches the description. This could have been put out there so people that have no idea what the vehicle is now have something to look for. Hell, the vehicle could be sitting on my block for all I know. I could have I.D.'ed it by now If I knew what I was looking for.

I read an update that said the truck was filled with crap. It sounds as if the shooter might be a hoarder. The description stated that the cab was filled with articles of clothing as if the guy was living in the truck. the bed was full too.

It says in the Southtown Star that WGN reports the shooter was captured in the Lynwood area southern Cook County. I am hearing some chatter regarding the shooter on the Will County East feed. I thought they said he is not identified yet.

Early reports coming in say the shooter is from Arlington Lane in Crete Township, 1 mile from my house, YIKES. I see several news agency helicopters flying near by. I also heard a taskforce raided a house on Arlinton Lane this morning. I also heard he is a Lynwood cop.

Lynwood cop arrested in spree shootings

October 8, 2010 12:21 PM | 7 Comments | BREAKING STORY
A Lynwood police officer has been arrested in connection with the shooting of three people, one fatally, along the Illinois-Indiana border this week, authorities say.

Brian Dorian, 37, was arrested on first-degree murder charges after a warrant was served at a home in south suburban Lynwood, according to the Will County sheriff's office.

He is being held on $2.5 million bail.

If he's convicted, he's toast. Wonder if he can be implicated in the Harvey PD weapon theft last May.
