hello every one im a complete noob to digital scanners but i went out last month and got a pro-106 at first i was overwhelmed with the system itself. but anyways
ive got the rr database d/l and put it in my scanner there's allot of stuff that it picks up that i cannot hear the audio on. the two that i am the most curious about are the viper system, the ones in the town of bryson city located on the swain page Swain County, North Carolina (NC) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference
as far as the viper system goes im not sure its set up right ive got cowee bald, wine springs, and joanna bald's control channels programed in from my download from here. if i go to the analyze section in my scanner i can see tgids pop up quite often but even with a wild card nothing is coming out.
on both of these i can see a good strong signal i listen to GSMNP quite clearly as well as jackson macon and cherokee countys. just not the one i live in. its frustrating. and ive read and ive tried since i got the scanner. my old analog 10 channel bearcat was doing better picking up things than the 106 for my already known freq's due to operator error.
anyone in this area able to monitor these frequencies? how do i determine what type of signal they are broadcasting on? ive downloaded every software i could locate and tried to use it. somebody help before im bald.
