I haven't posted a picture yet so I figured I would.

Pictured is:
Uniden 996T (for listening to Digital Fire Rescue in the area)
Dell XPS (for streaming scanner)
Linksys WRT54GL Wireless Router (running DD-WRT firmware)
Motorolla Surfboard Cable Modem
Dell Printer

Around the corner I have my laptop set up on a desk with a chair where I can actually get work done. I use Remote Desktop to access the server computer. Works pretty well.

Soon I'd like add a Ham radio, since I passed my test this passed Saturday and I'm itching to kerchunk a local repeater (kidding of course!) :p.

Later!

Actually, that's aftermarket. The damn thing gets really hot, so I cut a hole in the side of the case and mounted an intake fan. That fan sucks air in right over the processor, and one in the back of the case sucks it out. Pretty good & inexpensive cooling.

Man.. That's a nice pic of the 996, even if it is on the floor... That pic alone has got me wanting one... That' green display is tight!

Nice but why is it onthe floor??
I don't have any furniture in that room, lol!

It used to sit on top of the computer, but I thought that might cause interference, so it's move as far away as I can with serial cable attached.

how is the reception with that duckie?
Actually, it has since been removed. I actually get better reception of the 800 system around here with the stock telescoping antenna.

the stock telescoper is a really nice antenna (even if it does have a cheap plastic bnc connector top). Ive gotten 1-2 reception bars above then other antennas.
