SimpleCast / IceCast

I know through icecast you can add additional mount points for other streams. How do you set this up through SimpleCast? I am using Windows 2000 so I have each sound card has to be used independly. I have 1 that currently feeds SimpleCast, another that uses Xcorder to record that same stream, and a third with a 2nd feed that I am trying to feed through IceCast. I can use something other than simplecast to encode if someone can tell me that its going to be possible while not having to change the windows default recording sound card. Xcorder has to have that set for it.

Icecast sets mount points by name, so you should be able to just set the name in the client to point to the mount in icecast.

You have to run two instances of simplecast if you want to run feeds from two different soundcards. Better yet, install a second simplecast in a different directory so that you can save the settings for it.

Then in the first instance of simplecast connect to icecast and call the mount (for example): /feed1

In the second copy of Simplecast, connect to the same icecast server, but call it /feed2.

Also, in the second instance of simplecast, under general settings or whatever its called, change the sound card to the one you want for the second feed.

Ok it was mainly the sound card settings that I was worried about. I already have icecast set but did not know if the settings might be in the registry or somewhere where I would lose my other stream. Thanks.

Ok I installed simplecast in a new directory, but I got a few errors when I was in the settings. Also if I shutdown and restart my other Simplecast instance it reverts to the others sound card settings? Any ideas?
