BCD436HP/BCD536HP: Simplex DMR

I have been testing the new release for DMR Simplex it has improved some but not all the way I think the sensitivity needs to be up Some more

who has this simplex DMR working, what are your sensativity settings

The best I can get is by programming as conventional, FM modulation, 100ms, manual and 2 on the digital threshold settings (note the lowest it will go via the keypad or sentinel is 5). Even with these settings i'd say simplex decoding is very patchy. Huge contrast to a DMR transceiver, scanner with dsd+ or a Whistler trx, which all seem to behave much better.

Here are my 2 cents.

I think DMR simplex "won't work" right now because the scanner thinks any DMR transmission is TDMA. If I'm not mistaking, I believe DMR simplex uses FDMA, since there is no repeater to synchronize time slots. So the scanner is "listening" on TDMA, not FDMA.

I could be wrong, and probably am.

You are. DMR is always TDMA, simplex or otherwise.
